ABOUT ME
Sabrina Parente is an Italian jazz vocalist, singing teacher, and choir director. She is born in a small city in Italy’s Apulian region. With over a decade of dedicated music study, she had been trained by esteemed singing teacher of the area, with foundational training in opera singing and then specialised in contemporary, jazz and R&B styles.
Immersed in various singing approaches and pedagogies, Sabrina developed a profound passion for jazz, blues, soul and R&B, combined elements of her rich Italian cultural heritage into her music, drawing inspiration from iconic Italian artists like Mina and Pino Daniele.

In 2011, Sabrina participated at the national singing competition “Premio Mia Martini” with the original song “Come un Incanto” written by the songwriter and producer Michele Marmo, ranking among the finalists.
After a period away from the music scene, she moved to Bristol, UK, in 2017, embarking on a new chapter in her musical and professional development. She pursued a BA (Hons) in Music at Bath Spa University, where she founded her contemporary jazz ensemble "Sabrina & the Relatives", performing at notable venues such as Komedia, the Guildhall, and the Mission Theatre.

During her studies, under the mentorship of Senior Lecturer Jo Sercombe, she led the university Gospel Choir, refining her skills in teaching and musical leadership. A defining moment in her journey was conducting the choir for the Christmas Carol Service at Bath Abbey, marking a significant milestone in her development as a choir director.

Now, Sabrina is an active Choir Director, working with various choirs in the Bristol and Bath area, including the Riff Raff Choir and Widcombe Choir, alongside her work as a singing teacher. She has recently completed Level 1 and 2 in Estill Voice Training, further enhancing her understanding of vocal function from an anatomical perspective, allowing her to apply precise and science-based vocal techniques in her teaching and directing.

Her teaching philosophy is rooted in a versatile approach, helping singers develop confidence, technical control, and expressive freedom across different genres. Through her work as a choir leader and vocal coach, Sabrina is dedicated to inspiring singers of all backgrounds and fostering a love for music in every voice she works with.
